***Volunteers with a background in the legal field or an understanding of courtroom proceedings are preferred but NOT required.  We welcome any volunteer willing to learn!***

Where you can volunteers as a Judicial Volunteer?

Mock Trial Evaluators: Evaluators will observe and assess 90-minute mock trials during the High School Conference, ranking both the full team and individual participants, including attorneys, judges, and witnesses, in various categories based on provided guidelines and a rubric. Responsibilities include observing multiple rounds and ensuring consistent and fair evaluations. While knowledge of legal procedures is a plus, it is not required, as training will be provided to prepare all evaluators for their role.

Moot Court/Appellate Evaluators: Evaluators will observe and assess 60-minute trials for our Moot Court teams, ranking both the overall team and individual attorneys and justices in various categories based on provided guidelines and a rubric. Responsibilities include observing multiple rounds and applying consistent evaluations. While knowledge of legal procedures is a plus, it is not required, as training will be provided to ensure all evaluators are prepared for their role.
